My poetic purpose is to facilitate change. I’m an artist creating words to foster new ways of seeing and I believe our greatest power flows through the pen. To be wealthy in words is a stronger goal than to be rich beyond Time’s measurable- and sometimes miserable-- signatures. I believe we are here to share our wealth of words and cultivated concepts with the world just as much as we are here to share the good fortunes of flowing currencies. We do not leave this world of material clinging with any of the items we strive to gain while we are here. We leave as spirits with either joy, or with pain. When only a few individuals have more possessions and financial leverage than the disenfranchised global majority, the Universe feels the imbalance. Mother Nature does not value the billionaire's greed. She is the muse I regularly use to find words for the initiation of social change essential for our survival. None of us need medals, worship, or fame. We all just need a way to stay in the game.
